My current Plan is to announce the formation of the Asheville School of Classic Rock.com on October 1… it is a 3-week Program designed to teach Wannabee or advancing Musicians the Art of “Listening” to the Sounds of Music. In our program, we listen to successful Sounds of Top Classic Rock Songs and analyze why they are so… including the following:
How the Instrumentation and Arrangement amplify the content of the Lyrics
How they heighten the Intensity of a Songs Message
How they draw Attention to Key Moments to the Song
What Sounds could be added to the Melody to enhance the Flow and Delivery of Lyrics
How Chord Progressions and Harmonies can evoke Emotions and Moods to what the Listener is receiving
Is the relationship of the Volume of the Sounds complimentary between the Music and Lyrics
What Techniques Can Be Used to Enhance the Experience
As I have created “Startups” many times over my Career in Music, I strongly believe that I can be my most-worst enemy in making decisions when it’s Decision Time… by gaining Advice and Suggestions from a strong, diverse Group of “Like-minded” Music Professionals, the likelihood of Success improves greatly. Therefore, I want to create an “Inner Circle” of Music Industry Professionals to help me make this Journey a Top-notch Program to help Wannabee’s succeed… in whatever Path they choose as a Musician, Singer, Songwriter, Composer, or Sound Master and/or Engineer.
The Elements of the ASCR.com “Inner Circle” include:
During challenging times, help maintain Motivation and Resilience on the Journey
Provide Honest and Constructive Feedback on Content and Exercises… provide valuable input based on One’s Experience
Participate in Educational Videos and Live, recorded Interviews using One’s Diverse Skills and Knowledge ( sometimes on things that did not work out)
Participate in Brainstorming Collaborations for our YouTube Channel… make Videos for specific Subjects on Elements of Music
In Groups Discussions, relate and/or suggest options for moving the Journey along
Utilize your personal Group to bring a Consensus Vote on Lists and Challenges for YouTube Shorts
Participate as a Mentor for those in need… in a way that you feel can help them using your personal experience
It is important for you to understand that this is a “Part-time” effort and I truly understand that your availability is subject to your schedule… and, in your view, if you have the time to contribute. That is why I want to have enough Members to cover the bases… I want a strong Female representation to make sure I get a cross-section of valuable input.
